Better for You Traditional Ulster “Fry” Recipe

Take a page from our nan's cookbook of Northern Irish classics and try this tweaked Ulster Fry. We've taken this classic dish and made it waist-line friendly by cooking it in the grill instead of the frying pan and still staying true to our Irish heritage. For the Ulster "Fry"

Home Butchers Vegetable Roll

Home Butchers Traditional Dry Cured Bacon

Home Butchers Traditional Northern Irish Sausages

Home Butchers Black Pudding

Home Butchers White Pudding

Eggs

Soda Bread

Fadge/Potato Bread

Instructions:

  1. Arrange the sausages on the grill pan and cook on high about 6 to 10 minutes, turning every 2 minutes or so. Once cooked, set aside and keep warm.
  2. Add the vegetable roll black and white puddings and the bacon to the grill pan and cook on high about 6 minutes, turning halfway through. Once cooked, set aside and keep warm.
  3. Brush both sides of the soda and the fadge with a bit of oil, and grill until toasted.
  4. Meanwhile, fry the eggs until the yolk is set to your preference.
  5. Serve the Ulster "Fry" for breakfast or any time of day.
