Steak Diane Recipe

Steak Diane is a classic recipe that is full of flavour. Use your favourite cut of Home Butcher's steak to make this delicious sauce for a steak dinner with unforgettable flavour.

Ingredients:

For the steak

1 Home Butchers steaks, any cut, per person

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon olive oil

salt

pepper

For the steak sauce

2 tablespoons brandy

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

salt

peppercorns

Instructions:

Steak Diane Recipe

  1. Pan fry the steaks in a bit of butter and olive oil until cooked to your liking.
  2. While the steaks cook,  make the sauce by adding the brandy to a pan off the heat.  Put the pan on the heat and be careful as the brandy starts to flame. Once the flame has died down, reduce the heat and quickly add the butter, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt and pepper.
  3. Stir for about a minute, letting the sauce thicken.
  4. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.
